        should be "i was awaiting him for one hour. he kept me wait for one hour"

        //"company" is an uncountable noun in this sentence.

        And there could be some improper expressions in your sentence.( that means they might not be definite errors, but just not that conventional)
        e.g. I AM AFRAID OF DARK . Most people say "afraid of THE dark"
        Similarly, "go outiside" could be better than "go to outside". And I believe native speakers could organize this sentence in another way because there were too many infinitives (to go to ouside to buy....)combining togethere that makes the sentence sound not that natural.

Company can be one person who accompanies you or multiple people who accoumpany you. Single form and plural form are the same when it indicates the actual person or people. Only when it means "companionship/friendship", does it become uncountable.

          Similarly, "go outiside" could be better than "go to outside". --->the reason why people make such a mistake may be that one does not know "go outside" is a verb + adverb structurally. Go outside (adverb) = go to the outside (noun). When one says
