本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛It is a dilemma for some people whether let a large factory be built near their community. As my opinion, I will totally against the idea. I can image how worse the community will be.
First of all, the traffic will become a big problem. At the beginning of the factory been built, many dirty, heavy and huge trunks will appear in your community. They will bring a plenty of dust to your community. They are so heavy that they will cause your windows, your floor and your house shake when they pass by. In addition, the sounds from their horns or engines will disturb your good dreams at night. It is not safe for children to play outside by themselves. When the factory begin to produce its produces, the trunks will be still very busy on carrying the source material needed by the factory and the goods that already sell to customers. Your community will never be neat and quiet any more.
The second reason that must be said is when you let the big factory be build near your community, the risk of the environment been polluted will increase quickly. No matter how carefully the factory does, the wastewater and waste gas always have chances to escape from the factory and hurt your and your family's health. If the factory doesn't manage the waste properly, some dangerous stuff might destroy your life such as poisonous material, flammable gas and so on.
Finally, it is easy to see that the community culture will be damage by the factory. With the factory building, many people will live in your community. It might cause the price of estate rising, but the whole community will be very noisy and difficult to manage. In a chaotic community, it is difficult for people to have a good emotion to discuss movies, sports and music, and people will become lonelier.
In sum, I am an average person and just want to live in a neat, quiet and safe community. I don't want to be disturb and don't mind how much my house worth, so I don't like that a large factory will be built near my community.
