Jabber's English Note---074

In most cases, we have no problems in expressing our ideas correctly. But it's going to a long-terms process for us to express ourselves precisely. Just an example. On Monday, our team's refrigirator was so full that I could not put in my lunch box. I complained this before our HR cooridnator. She sent out an email to all the people in our company and ask to throw some items from the fridge. You guess how she began her email? "Our fridge is over-flowing! I beg .....". Of course, she was exagerating. As a language learner, I asked one question to myself: "Could I?"

Some friends tried to benchmark my writings on native English speaker's language. In my humble opinion, that does not make any sense. If you would like to listen to my own comments, I would say my writings are dummy English. I mean they look like English, but are not. Oops!

    • Tks, Jabber. Pls come in.
I would like to discuss with you about one sentence in yuor note. "I complained this before our HR coordinator", can I change to " I complained this to our HR coordinator" ? Is it same meaning after I changed it ? Thank for your help. I tried to improve my English, but I am always disappointed . Once again, pls keep on posting your English notes.
      • Sorry, I am not sure which one is right
Maybe both your version and mine are OK. If we are wrong, it is not a too big deal because other people can undersand us. So please don't be too serious about these minors.
        • Thank you, Jabber.
