本人XXX，成都大熊猫繁育研究基地兽医院院长。很荣幸申请美国国务院教育文化事务局的国际访问者项目。本人1998年毕业于四川农业大学动物医学院兽医专业，长期从事大熊猫繁殖科研及疾病防治工作。
自1998年以来，本人共参与繁殖成活大熊猫41胎62仔。组织和参与抢救、治疗大熊猫100余次，多次挽救回大熊猫的生命，保证了圈养大熊猫的种群安全。
本人从2001年到2010年应日本白浜野生动物园和西班牙马德里动物园的邀请，先后7次前往日本、西班牙参与大熊猫的国际科研繁育合作。2001年在日本工作期间，通过饲料调整和精心的饲养管理，使当年一只春季未能发情的大熊猫秋季发情，在准确把握配种时机后，使其在冬季成功产仔，创下了大熊猫繁育史上秋季发情冬季产仔的先例。（大熊猫一般春季发情，秋季产仔）。2010年，在西班牙马德里动物园工作期间，在旅居西班牙的两只大熊猫不能自然交配的情况下，采集雄性大熊猫的精液为雌性大熊猫实施了人工授精，使受配大熊猫成功产下一对双胞胎，这是在海外通过人工授精繁殖成活的第一对双胞胎。
同时，本人还从专家的视角，以图文并茂的方式在互联网上展示大熊猫丰富生活，向网民传播生物多样性保护理念。
由于工作业绩突出，本人曾作为突出贡献人才享受2008年度“成都市政府特殊津贴”。本人主研的科研课题先后荣获成都市科技进步二等奖5项，三等奖1项。
本次如果能够申请成功，在访问期间，我除了希望看到美国社会、经济、政治、文化和教育制度的各个不同方面，体验丰富多彩充满活力的美国文化外，如果可能，我还想参观华盛顿动物园和圣地亚哥动物园，其中在华盛顿动物园停留的时间不少于2天，并希望有机会与动物园兽医进行工作交流（最好能观摩他们兽医的日常工作）。另外，如有可能我还希望能访问马里兰大学的兽医学院；当然，如果能在访问期间观看一场NBA的球赛将是我终身难忘的经历。

My name is Lan Jingchao. I was in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding Animal Hospital. Am honored to apply for U.S.Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs International Visitor Program.In 1998 I graduated from the Veterinary College of Veterinary Medicine of Sichuan Agricultural University, professional, long-term research in panda breeding and disease prevention.
Since 1998,I have been participated in Panda mutiplication 41 times birth successfully, altogether 62 pandas..Organizing and participating in rescue and treatment in more than 100 giant pandas, giant pandas back several times to save the lives of captive giant panda population to ensure safety.
From 2001 to 2010, I was being invited to Shirahama Wildlife Zoo in Japan and Madrid Zoo in Spain, and participated in and cooperated with the international research and breeding of Giant Panda. During working in Japan in 2001, by adjusting food, raising carefully and made its right time mating, I have successfully made a giant panda, which failed to estrus in Spring, breed in winter, which set a precedent in the history of heat in Winter. (Giant panda usually spring heat, autumn calving). During working in the Madrid Zoo in 2010, the two giant pandas couldn’t mate naturally, by the acquisition of the semen for female giant panda to implement the artificial insemination, and made with success by giant panda twins, This is the first survival twins in overseas breeding by artificial insemination.
As a result of outstanding performance, I have talent to enjoy the outstanding contributions as a 2008 "special government allowance in Chengdu."The main subject of my research study in Chengdu has won the second prize of five scientific and technological progress and third one.
If the application is successful, during the visit, I would like to see the United States in addition to social, economic, political, cultural, and different aspects of the education system and experience the colorful vitality of American culture, if possible, I would like to visit Washington Zoo and the San Diego Zoo, including time spent in the Washington Zoo less than 2 days and hope to have the opportunity to work with the zoo veterinarian exchanges (best to observe the daily work of their veterinary surgeon.)
