This is really not their fight, but it is nice to have someone speak out for me. I can see why some IDs enjoy high respect here. From last September to now, I do enjoy checking out this forum from time to time. But I don’t respond well to personal attacks and could get very nasty of which I am not proud or very defensive (borrow a word from wincity) . I welcome all comments directed at my writing, opinion, typo, choice of words and grammar, but not personal insults. Before I do something I may regret, I decide to kill this ID. But I will drop by and write one line or two, of course, using a different ID. I borrowed this ID from a friend anyway; he might kill me if he knew what I did here.
Secondly, when I write the story, I don’t really think a lot about it, just let it flow out. I provide you raw materials, you are the cooks. What kind of dishes you want to cook is really up to you. Different people get different things from the story. I don’t know what I want the story to be, but I do know what I want the story not to be – predictability. Instead of writing a white knight or Cinderella story, I want to present it “as is”, let it run its own course. The boy has his vices and virtues; he has his moments of happiness and moments of desperation; he has ego and he has kindness; sometimes he is confused, other times he is confident; he could be nasty and lovely at the same time. He is a human at the end of the day. He needs to deal with all kinds of developmental problems although the environment does not make it easy for him. Beauty does not only exist in roses, water lilies also have their moments. I don’t really view the story as tragic as I haven’t gone through the whole story. My plan was to walk you all through the story. But it does start to take more and more my time, particularly with this kind of debate which could make me think about it whole day, I would rather kill the ID, because I do have something else more important to do.
Third, choice of words. There is no right or wrong or so called “show off”. A word is a word, either you use it for a purpose or you don’t use it. There is no such thing as “big” or “small”. You use whatever is available in your word repository. Today is Dickens appreciation day, a paragraph from the article: “In one important aspect the adaptations even go one better than Dickens: The eccentric secondary characters are predictably dazzling, but the often-insipid heroes and heroines also shine on the screen because the actors give them a life that Dickens could not.” Tell me the reporter is using “big” words to “show off”.

I know ID Winterstorm wants attention, I don’t. There is no sign that he is going to give up gossip-style commenting. Each time he is talking about me while looking the other way, I have to suppress a strong urge to make fun of him. But that way we could make this forum a total trash bin.
I will see you all in another ID, say in a couple of months? Keep writing with punctuation.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
