slide 2: what has changed, the current situation, issue statements: where we are at the moment
if there is a change of scope, a change of end state, a change of requirements, let's make it clear: we understand your concern, and we want to make you happy dear customer...let's agree with the change...we don't have to talk about price now..but be aware nothing comes free
slide 3: root cause analysis of the problem
is it a resource issue? is it a client sat issue? is it a change of scope issue? what's deviated from the original path...not to lay blames...but we need to be clear with the clients and have an open and honest discussion of where went wrong here...
slide 4: actions
based on the root cause, let's re-adjust our action plan... you don't like the way the project is being executed? maybe change and/or add more resources? add funding? find the critical path and get things done faster...add shifts? fine...let's plan together...lay down new resource plan, new time line, be prepared to pay more - either client pays for it, or we will eat the cost to make you happy - either way, make it clear
