本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛前两天为了测朗读速度翻出来试读的，本不想发，但考虑到本人和刺头之间的摩擦就是由本人对他读的这段文字的评论而起的，所以还是决定贴出来，也算还他一个公道。本人用录音的方式正音由来已久，但发音频上网则是最近的事。其原因就是本人从没有兴趣和任何人比试，一直觉得只要贴音频上网就难脱比试之嫌。不过最近慢慢觉得贴出来也无妨，给自己多一点动力去提高也挺好. 别人爱怎么说就随便吧。
Hitler knows that he will have to break us in this island or lose the war. If we can stand up to him, all Europe may be free and life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science.
Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth lasts for a thousand years, men will still say, “This was their finest hour!”
