1.Man: The neighbors are going to have another party.
Woman: Not again!
Nattator: What does the woman imply?
a.The neighbors have parties often.
b. She doesn't like her neighbors
c. The neighbors' party is disturbing her.
d. She will not be invited to the neighbors' party.

2. Man:You mean Dr. Franklin said you couldn't have an extension?
Woman: He said it was not his policy.
Man: Really?
Woman: Yes, so now I have to work over the holiday weekend.
a. Dr. Franklin is not very understanding.
b. The extension was a very bad idea.
c. She is sorry that the man was denied his request.
d. The professor's answer is not surprising.

    • up
      • CA
      • ac
    • 都选A
What had the man assume?
What had the man assumed?
      • CD
        • D?
    • C;C
      • I buy
        • 第一题我也选的C,但是答案说:c contradicts the fact that she does not know about the party until the man informs her.
            • not again == No, not again.
          • What a stupid answers! if someone tells you there is "Another" something, it implies you know the current one.
2nd one should be D since it asks the "MAN"'s assumption. Since he got suprised, the answer should be that HE is not suprised as supposed.
2、兜的圈子太大,assume: take as true before there is proof; 逻辑上分析:a b d 都已发生,不存在 assume 的调件!
        • "a b d 都已发生,不存在 assume 的调件", 可是问题是“What had the man assumed”啊?
          • the key word is that "assume" :在未证实前来假定或以为,答案选项中只有c 未证实。
(What Women Want)
    • A C
    • 1. C 2. A
