To 听雨的心情

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Most of my writings are first-handed. They have been not subjected to peer reviews. Without much efforts, I can pick up a pile of mistakes and errors after I turn back. The way I use the word "polish" here is not a big problem, because it does not hinder others very much from understanding me. As far as I know, there are some other severe problems in my notes, which tells the completely wrong.

Please do not assume that Jabber's English is good. I began to learn Chinese when I was 5 years old, my Chinese level is very low. Let alone my English, because I began to learn it way way later. The amazing thing is that I am very persistent, and that I make progress every week (if not every day). To make a living, I would like to spend time on English learning. I did not learn any English when I was in middle and high schools. I did not attend any schools in North America, though I have ever worked as a postdoc for 2 years. I work as a programmer now. My direct experiences indicate I have benifitted a lot from my English learning. Because I have spent tons of time on English learning, I feel not too difficult to fit in a team and pass a job interview. Frankly speaking, I am still confident even the job market is very tight.

By the way, Mr. Pig(瘦猪) is a native English speaker. More importantly, he is proficient in Chinese language though he grew up in Canada. From his Chinese postings, I can feel that he is an adorable boy ( I don't think he is very old). Whenever he spares some time on commenting our word, let's try to learn something from him. Really, I am amazed by his maneuvring Chinese words . For him, it is fun to write Chinese words. For me, it would be more interesting to practice English writing.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net

    • My big mouth just made me an easy target...
apparently Comrade Jabber is coming to Toronto to grace us with a visit...
      • Seriously, there is a sense of humor in your seemingly random remarks.
        • I used to be an Anthropology major focusing on ancient roman and Greek philosophies, random remarks are what I do best...
        • haha, I said long long ago that Chairman Piggy has a weird sense of humor. :D:D
    • Thank you jabber, I could always learn something from your post. This time, it's not English itself, it's something more important than that. Thank you!
      • Are you working on the thing that we both think you suppose to be working on without actually working while at work?
        • not yet. I will do it tonight, hopefully it could be done and submitted to your review tomorrow.
    • 哗!被偶像点名耶。我每天都会跑到这坛子里听Jabber老师的几堂课,受益非浅。请Jabber老师不负众望,坚持给我们上课,虽然我们中间有一些爱顶嘴的学生,但都很尊重老师的。
      • You kidding. To teach in North America, one needs one, maybe more, licenses.
