Usually TCM products don't have standard English names. On the package there is only pinyin.

Well, seems you should be very good at TCM. You simply explain the effects to your friend, using your own words. For the name itself, simply use its pinyin.

只翻译金匮的话，可以翻译成treasure cabinet, 药名无法完全翻译。可以和老外解释成改善肾功能的中药
