today IS Wednesday, so there is NO such day as "this Tuesday", only "Tuesday passed" or yesterday , or "the coming Tuesday" which is Feb 4th, "this Friday" is Jan 31, and "next Friday" is Feb 7th.

This Tuesday = the coming Tuesday, or, as it is usually said, just "Tuesday".

Totally wrong. Nobody is correct...I asked my native-speaking friends, and they said:
If today is Wednesday (Jan. 29), then:
this Tuesday must mean Feb. 4. (instead one says yesterday or last Tuesday for Jan. 28).
this Friday must mean Jan. 31.
next Tuesday is also Feb. 4.
next Friday could be Jan. 31 or Feb. 7, depending on the context.
In addition, they told me English is not a "precise" language...

跟我说的不矛盾吧?另外,如你所说,英语不严谨。当你说 Next Tuesday时,有人可能会理解为二月11日。
