工作学习 / English / Help me please! I'm struggling with the proper use of some English words. What is the difference between "attributes" 'characteristics' 'charactors' and 'features'? esp. "attributes".I think "feature" always refers to some physical elements, right?

Okay, tell us what is the "noun" that these words describe?

there is no specific word. Just want to summarize a residential development pattern. My advisor suggested me using "attributes", but I'm not sure what should be put under this word, physical characters or abstract characters? In some relative articles, sometimes "attribute" is used, sometiems "characteristics" is used.

So the "noun" is "pattern". Which one of the three best fit "pattern",class? I would say "features". But again, this is circumstantial.

thank you. let me think about it. I am not sure whether "feature" is OK or not. I just want to use a broad word.
