Agree with "Dundas 888". See contents"that" in A is too confusing and kinda misleading too. It's not clear if "that" refers to "the whole sentence" or "young adults" or "the goal". If you brief the sentence as: Owing a building is a goal of young adults, like that of earlier generation, you will have a better feeling.

i agree with Collapsar. Choose E. 1978 and 1985 are both past time, so PP should be used in here. I also checked with a few native language speaker. They all okayed E.

a) like在做如同讲时，是副词，所以这个从句没有谓语；b)见a；c)从句与前半句的主语不一致，前面说“理想是”，后面说“前辈选择”；d)前半句说的是“..own land is still a goal..”，后面怎么用have?；e)is对was正好

a) like在这里是介词。like做为连词时可以引导从句，但得紧紧地跟主句连在一起。这里有个逗号，所以是介词。我的分析见#1458656；b)#1458656;c）同意；d)单看这个句子，做为一个倒装句，have用在这里没错。我认为你对c)的解释也就是对d)的解释。e)用was是因为主语是earlier generation, 而不是因为主句是is,从句自然就对was. 如果把earlier generation换成generation in China, 那还得是is.

为什么不是a? 说法见内：(a)看似正确，但考的语法点是名词的双重属格，即 N (名词）+ of + N's，如：A friend of Gary's，所以正确的说法应为：like that of earlier generations'，少了一小撇，意思可是不一样的哦.
(b) 介词for用错了。仍然是名词的双重属格，介词必须是of。
(c) ，(d)显然就是错的嘛。:-）
