I see. Make sense! Thank you. when I ask my friend he said " like you, make fun". Can I ask you another question? I value: putting your family first, pragmatism. what's meaning of " pragmatism"?

"pragmatism" may means down-to-the-earth, practical, hands-on kind of person, do more than that he/she say, not over-idealistic.

"What's up" no longer has the meaning of 你找我有什么事, more often people use this as "hi" or "how's going".

英语里的许多废话其实有它的用处。在刚见面或谈话的初始阶段有些不痛不痒的“废话”可以避免尴尬也有助于找到共同话题和谈论正经话题的自然气氛。也是废话。

Of course. work hard including learning English and culture, dress up, romance, getting more experience of dating, making yourself special.etc. working hard doesn't guarantee but increase chances.
