It shouldn't be bad,maybe quite good. Because I know Lipsey, the guy who published Economics(for 1st year eco courses) for 10 editions, has been there for very long time.

but the truth is that Economics major is kind of easy to study but hard to get a job. maybe you can switch to commerce or something else later when you want to do graduate study.

SF uni is very good in economics. as for commerce, west otronto uni and queens are good.
