Thanks a lots. I mean the way Jerry Dai used maybe good for his age(20 ys), For us(30 ys), maybe not so userful.

I have made it through. Already there are people who mistook me as local when I speak English to them on the phone. I believe we in 30's can make it too, as long as you really pay attention to your pronounciation.

I think you are mistaking us.I do not believe you can fluently communicate with local people without any problem after few lessons.
you are kidding

Moreover pronounciation is not the most important, some indian brothers who have accent may communicate well with local people. Only in my opinion, the way to think in English is important.

What can I say? Don't get me wrong. I never took any English class, nor am I advocating for Jerry. But I believed him, because I have a lot of similar exp. in making my speaking and pronounication precisely Canadian. Can you not believe other people can do things that you cannot do yet? I believe you're smart too. It's that you don't believe and you don't try hard. If you can leave your phone number, we find out how to achieve that. I have a lot of experiences in overcoming typical Chinese pronounication problems and the Canadian ways of speaking.

The esiest way of "overcoming typical Chinese pronounication problems" is to adopt some NOT-THAT-TYPICAL Chinese pronounication problems.. :-D...Seriously, that's what many people do

Thanks to Grace and Freeman. I brielfly talked with you guys today. I had a great English conversation with Grace in particular. While you guys seem to think making your talk clear is your next step to take, I am more focused on making my pronouciation more Canadian day by day. Of course, there is no end to improving English communication skills. It takes a whole lifetime. And that's true for learning anything perfect.

That's true. And that's my point. So it also has to do with individuals. Some people like to change. Some do not. That's why so many people can not speak Shanghainese after living there for 40 or 50 years. For me, I like new things, I like changes. I may never be able to sound like a native speaker. I believe I will sound more like them over time --- a long period of time. :-)

To be honest, Terry is a smart guy, but he's a terrible, terrible English teacher - he doesn't know how to teach at all.

Interesting experience. But I advise you not to spend any money on English any more.I have to agree to what you said, becaues I don't have any experience with his course. I only listened to his seminars and some of his seminar recordings. I feel he has really broken it through in his own way, but perhaps it doesn't work for other people. I think you don't have to spend money on English. Language is a natural skills, you can fly on your own.

Hi pal, I said Jerry is smart, but here what we're discussing is Jerry's class, not Jerry himself - I attended his class and share the information to people, but you didn't! Jerry seems your hero!

No offense, my friend. I said I agree with you. I am not kidding you at all. I just sincerely think there is no need to spend any money. Where did you get the idea that I am making Jerry as an idol?I don't have to and I will not. I believe I myself can already speak as good as him. It's that I just don't understand why you have to spend money on any class. You can live with no regret if you didn't take his course in the place. OK, I don't want to burn my energy on endless dispute. That's it for me.

Awesome! I've been been looking for good way to learn E, and got much improvement. Obviously, it's a long term to reach perfect language for us.Now i'm not so ambitious, and restrict my E-learning goal to what makes my job and life better. I mean, whatever I learn from teacher, TV, book..., in a period, can make myself more competent for higher-rate job, and get better life, that proves my current learning is successful, and I start to move on to next step and goal.
Welcome to share more on that, and let's make meaningful progresses together.
