可见你翻这段话也用了些功夫，冒失指出两点：英语也讲究结构对称，as opposed to后既然是名词性结构the decision，前面的动词短语就不合适了；第二句上来就是个被动态进行时，状语偏偏变个现在分词短语，且紧接过去分词，语感上读起来有点awkward。
