还是入乡随俗吧。我不大社交。就有限接触面所见,一般是 1) formal situation, Mr. Mrs. (etc.) and family name. 2) casual situation: first name. 3) for aged peoplefor aged people, in informal situation (to the degree like joking), you can call him "papa" / "grandpa", and her "mama" / "grandma". 本地习俗,这么称呼对方不会有人带出伦理上的古怪联想。反过来手,称对方为son也没有占便宜的意思。

噢可能是吧,记得以前读过一篇小说,里面用到POP来称呼“大爷”。讲得是英国30年代的乡下故事,具体情节忘记了。:-)
