工作学习 / 外语学习 / 关于Middle Kingdom. 报刊上见到这个词很多次，这明显是翻译错误。中国人说中国，决不是说一个中等国家，而是说中央帝国。所以应该译成Central Kingdom比较恰当。不知道这个译名是谁弄出来的？

middle school中等学校。不过你是对的，我找到一个Middle American 中美洲就是美洲中部。
