Knowing how to sale yourself is much more important than your technical skill. As long as you know how to sale yourself, doesn't matter what area you are good at, software or hardware, you will find your way to make a living here.I am not suggesting technical skill is not important. You got to know something. Stick to what you good at, sale yourself based on that, you should be OK.
