answerYou don't need to use the passport when you visit HK. No matter whether or not you get a interview waiver, you have to change the "chu1 jing4 ka3" before your immigration.

thank you,but i'm still puzzled as to the details.
is it necessary to show passport when i go through
customs?if so,there will be a problem for the destination on chujingka isn't Hong kong but Japan.

As I know, mainland residents use a special PASS to travel to HK.
It may be quite hard to apply for such a pass.
