觉的able 后面那个逗号是错的。not willing, or able to go it alone 看着舒服点。

willing就是个形容词。形容词后置。跟分词没什么关系。

两个逗号要么都要,要么都不要,语法上都对,但含义略有不同。

"singles not willing, or able, to go it alone..." 实际就是 “singles THAT(或者
WHO) ARE not willing, or able, to go it alone..."

singles 的定语从句。不记得定语从句可以省略从句中的主语和谓语

定语从句本来就是代替形容词或者分词的。最简单的如常说的There is something wrong. = There is something that is wrong.

好吧,再举一个近一点例子:The person posting on rolia is rsam007. = The person WHO IS posting on rolia is rsam007. 类似这样的句子比比皆是。

yes. Agree with you for this example. posting = participial adjective.

原文是对的,只需要两个逗号,相当于下面的左右括号:singles not willing (or able) to go it alone are teaming up....

原句没有语法问题。相当于形容词后置。类似于“somthing wrong, something new, something important etc....”. "willing" 和 able 都是形容词,前者表示”愿意的“,后者是“有能力的“。理论上讲, willing singles, able singles, 也都是正确的表达, 只不过不常用而已。再加上这句话后面还有to go it alone, 所以will 和able 后置就更顺理成章了。

many thanks. It's good to review English grammars. This sentence uses adjective phrase to modify the none, so the phrase has to be after the modified none.
