No, I didn't mean that. :) From an IT guy's point of view, Chinese is the most optimized language. Before I came, I didn't know there was a huge Chinese community already.

我来时只偶尔能见到讲广东话的华人。酱紫。那时自己的英语和自己的日语一样糟糕，电视没一条能看懂的。现在虽然还很差，确实比当年提高很多了。

他们不知道不等于不存在，几年前有些当地加拿大人连美国的black friday都不知道。美国人还把football这个词给掠夺了，现在足球说football都没人能听懂，非要说soccer。其实美式足球用foot的机会几乎没有，全是hand。呵呵。

我移民时，网络已经比较发达了。当时想：移民后，尽可能不进中文网站，而是尽可能进到英语网站聊天室去。可结果，基本上还是在汉语聊。lol

是啊，今天是父亲节，倒是想到我们的孩子们，跟着我们来到完全陌生的国度，走南闯北，甚至颠沛流离。特别是那些来时已不算小的半大孩们，要适应语言，文化的冲击，甚至或明或暗的歧视，一路走来，也都很不容易呀。

+ 1我出国等于经历二次移民，第一次是12岁地域的变迁。我深深了解那种变化的痛，所以坚持让孩子在他的出生地长大，无论自己多苦，无论国内给过的工作机会多么诱人，无论多么思念家乡。
今晚与儿子长谈两小时，非常有意义的一次谈话。
我们在异国他乡，没有别的选择，必须得继续拼。这也不是坏事。在过十年二十年，看看谁瞧得起谁吧。
