"淡定" 。。。本人觉得英文解释是aloof,如果是当形容词用的话。至少不认为这个词里面有Relax的成分。

aloof,说的是待人的态度。If you are aloof,you deliberately stay away from or not talk to other people,especially because you think you are better than they are.

【deliberately】? there is nothing deliberate here. if someone tries to be deliberately aloof, then they not, they are faking it. They don't care about what you think, period. Not 【deliberately】trying to appear that way.

Deliberately or not, I agree with 探长. Aloof implies a different attitude, which doesn't fit the Chinese context of 淡定,

具体用什么词跟语气,语境,上下文,谈话对象等等有关,不可生搬硬套。当然这是所有语言的特点,没有诀窍和捷径,更没有什么公式,熟了自然脱口而出。古人云,冰冻三尺非一日之寒。古人亦云,功到自然成。诚不我欺也!
