工作学习 / English / I noticed that someone used "can not" which is grammatically wrong. Instead, "cannot" or "can't" should be used.

That's what I learned in English Grammar. BTW, if you type a complete sentence with "can not" in MS Word and do a grammar check, Word won't accept it.

好象都可以吧。不过我看到在古典文章里都用CANNOT。也许CAN NOT是一个大家都犯的错误吧。

That's because people tend to take things for granted. Do, Do Not; Is, Is Not → Can, Can Not (x).
