i don't translate neither while communicating. what i mean is when storing info. i actually remember the meaning of what ppl said, but that memory is a one after translation. a good check maybe:if your collegue said smthing you need to remember and after 2-3 days, you ask yourself what he/she said. probably, you can remember what was said, but can you remember what words exactly were used?

+1. 我一般情况下英语交流挺好。但问题是：当要进行逻辑思考，或brain storm时，用汉语思考，逻辑简洁，思路清晰。所以，想问问大家伙儿：当您进行一项比较复杂的思考时，用英语思考的速度和效率大约是用汉语进行同样思考的百分之多少？

Mostly I'm only using English for thinking. Sometimes I could run into situations that I'm not able to find the words to express myself. In these cases I would use Google translate to find the words that I need.My daily life is basically in English, except reading posts on Rolia. :)

I do have some tricks. :) e.g. 1, Learn to count in English; 2, Use English in daily life; 3, Only read English news, etc.

Counting is actually a very important language skill. I once had to count hundreds of bills in front of several other people when I exchanged money in Venezuela. That's really a stressful time. :D

我觉得，大脑真正存储区，形式可能是影像之类的，还有个第一语言区，一般这个区和存储区直接映射。学外语的，会建立第二语言区，外语没学好时，第二语言是先和第一语言区映射，然后通过第一语言区和存储区的映射，去反应/寻找记忆。外语学好后，第二语言区就和存储区建立了直接和自动的映射。就不会每次都翻译下，才能反应过来了。
当准备说母语时，大脑就自动把母语区和存储区连接起来。当准备说外语时，大脑就自动把外语区和存储区连接起来。这时是整个区域的转换，而不是每句话，每个单词在外语-〉母语-〉存储直接转换。

不是 你得分具体情况 比如名词 一般都是先入为主 你英文认识的名词就会存储英文 比如工作和生活的词汇 动词和形容词也是习惯了表述就自然存储 只有些情景感受 不是以语言存储的

我的感觉是用中文时按中文思考，说用英文的时候就是按英文思考，其结果就是听和说英文的时候，IQ各种Q明显下降，写的时候和用中文思考时逻辑区别不大。

还有就是: 读书中出现复杂数学公式的时候，必须转换成汉语逻辑思考，否则，大脑对各种符号不对付

更详细并确切点说：多年前开始，就会在梦里说英语，但都是整个梦里明确知道是在汉语语境里，只当需要时说英语。类似旅游者的情景。最近这几个梦，貌似在英语语境里。但，梦的情景却更为模糊，且醒来后能记起来的情景片段，仍然是以汉语储存的。
