I would rather eat in than eat out。 I would rather eat in than eating out。 Wouldn't you rather be liked than feared?

more..."the normally conjunctive phrase 'rather than' is often used, and used correctly, as if it were a prepositional phrase such as 'instead of', andwhen it is so used, the rule that items joined by conjuctions should be as grammatically similar as possible must sometimes be abandoned."

考试时一定要用than eating out。但我的美国同学会说than eat out。
