Can’t compare, my lead was a GC holder. I was only H1 employee and therefore hired much cheaper ( I guess you understand why).By company standard, in the year 1999 the compensation plan for a senior tech lead is about 80-90K USD(base salary) plus good bonus with very valuable stock options (I know it’s garbage now, but it really reached 30%-40% of the base salary in those golden days). I guess his actual income would be between 120k-140K USD at that time

those I knew who went back to China are those winners in many people's eyes....They came many years ago, bought big house and sexy car and have very decent job. some are director level. They went back for better life, more opportunity and more money and the most important---RESPECT! Only losers won't respect others. And only losers will call others as losers, hehe
